Our Spring Open House spilled out onto the Harmony House lawn on Friday, April 27th! With sweet iced tea, barbeque, and feel-good beats from DJ ephemera,we felt the spring vibe in the air and in our bodies. Throughout the day we had performers grace us with their talent, including our very own IDA fellow, songwriter, and musician Maya Burke. We also showcased the recipients of our 2017-18 Mini-Grants inside the house, which ranged from a peacemaking colloquium discussing culturally-based practices of conflict resolution in tribal courts to an installation art piece critiquing Stanford's apathy and complicity in the private prison industry. Finally, we had a floral photobooth for folks to have their portraits taken by the wonderful Musila Munuve, who captured joyful and exquisite portraits of our lovely community; check them out here!
